Irregular Tomestones of Lore will be available to collect until the official release of Endwalker, so players will have just over a month to collect the rewards offered by the event. This is one of the final events Final Fantasy 14 players have to look forward to before the imminent release of Endwalker. This is the sixth time the event has been available, and this time, the focus of the dungeons that offer Irregular Tomestones of Lore–the collectible currency for this run of the event–is focusing on the dungeons that act as epic conclusions to the story arcs of the game, meaning players experiencing these battles for the first time will have no trouble finding a group.
Since then, Square Enix has revived the event multiple times, each with unique rewards for completing different types of content within the game. The first Moogle Treasure Trove event took place two years ago, during the lull of content immediately leading up to the release of Shadowbringers, Final Fantasy 14's previous, critically-acclaimed expansion. The rewards offered in Moogle Treasure Trove events are usually rare and hard-to-get items, like mounts, minions, and musical orchestrion rolls, which can be played in player houses.
